Who Can Play?

  • Must be at least 13 years old by January 1, 2025 and must not be 19 before July 19, 2025.
  • Athletes must have an active GHIN Handicap Index and post all eligible scores.
  • Athletes must be an Ohio resident.

How to Qualify

  • Athletes will earn points based on their finishes in Ohio Junior Series events ran in 2024 (click here for schedule).
  • Required handicap - 2.4 Boys, 5.4 Girls.
  • Post all eligible scores.
  • The top 6 boys and girls on the points list for Ohio Junior Series events plus two committee selections (8 boys and 8 girls total) after the 2024 season will earn a spot on Team Ohio for 2025.
  • Athletes must compete in a minimum of two events to be eligible for Team Ohio.

  • Team gear.
  • Invitation to Team Ohio camps ran at elite facilities providing all-around instruction.
  • Support and mentorship from the Team Ohio Staff.
  • Additional playing opportunities are being explored and looking to be added in the future for Team Ohio athletes.

Yes, once an athlete is named to Team Ohio they are a part of the USNDP for the following Calendar year.

No, the National Junior Team will be for a select and relatively small number of athletes compared to the number of athletes on State Teams. Selection criteria and process for selection to the National Junior Team is currently being developed by the USGA.
